Joanna Mulder

Joanna Mulder uses a range of subjects from absurdist science-fiction mythology, archetypal portraiture and exaggerated cartoons to channel scenes from her 1980’s childhood. The result is a body of larger-than-life graphic work resembling classic comic books and pop art. Along the lines of these styles and philosophies, she, like Andy Warhol and countless other predecessors, also works as a graphic designer and illustrator boasting employment by major fashion, stage and screen companies. Joanna is active in New York’s art community and currently lives and works in Queens.
